DJ Polo joins the Spotlight Mix

Since 2016 Bristol based DJ & producer DJ POLO has become a mainstay in the world of UK Funky.

Influenced heavily by early UK Funky, he is also inspired by genres from around the world such as Afrobeat, Gqom, Baile Funk & Kuduro. His debut EP was released on Roska Kicks & Snares and tore up clubs worldwide. Since then he has released music on labels such as High End Times, Super Kitchen and More Time. 

DJ Polo also holds down a residency at ‘Club Djembe’ as well as running his own club night – ‘Sprung’ and provides dancefloors across Europe with his heavily percussive sets. He is also a regular radio guest, supplying the likes of Marcus Nasty and Crazy Cousins with mixes for their Rinse FM shows. 

2018 was a busy year for DJ Polo and he isn’t showing any signs of slowing down with an LP in the works for release later in the year.
