DT830 – Tom Chubb

Share

Following their Deep House Traxsource No.1 smash ‘Forever’ (2021), talented House heads, Dave Mayer (NL) and Tom Chubb (UK) join forces once again on ‘The Source Of Happiness’ for Husky’s Bobbin Head Music.

Creating a lush deep soundtrack to vibe up the dance floors, the duo weave a warm bubbly hypnotic groove, teased with classic synth stabs and shimmering arpeggios, that beautifully flow around a spellbinding vocal that creates its own pulse. “Breathe in… Breathe out.”

British producer and DJ Tom Chubb has been a familiar face on the London club circuit, having played for some of the capital’s biggest promoters at venues such as Ministry of Sound, Turnmills, Pacha, Egg, Bar Rumba, among many.

He has held residencies in London, Abu Dhabi, and Dubai for Kinky Malinki and MustHaveSoul and promoted a number of his own successful events (Plain & Simple, G-Club Live, La Nuit)), as well as gracing the decks in Ibiza, Greece, Thailand, Italy, Poland, Lebanon and beyond.

As a producer, Tom has released productions and remixes on labels such as Kidology Records, Simma Red, Simma Black, Conkrete Digital, Guess, Catch 22, Kidology, Reel House, Zulu, DVine Sounds and many more. His collaboration with Reza, ‘Anthem’, on Zulu Records topped the Beatport Hype chart at No. 1 for 8 weeks.

Today, he joins us on the podcast for the first time. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or iTunes here.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
I am a lover of House music, so I don’t like to stick to a particular genre – it’s all good music to me! So this is something that starts deep and heads a little soulful towards the end.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
I somehow missed DJ Fudge Animus last year so I’m playing it every chance I get to make up for it! I love it!

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
There are 12 special ingredients in this mix! Each and every track!

Tell us about your next EP?
Well, the 6th track on this mix is mine and Dave Mayer’s 2nd collaboration which is currently sitting at No. 10 in the Traxsource Deep House charts. Our last one hit No. 1 so we’re hoping to see this one coming close!   I’ve added a little exclusive for Data Transmission on something I’m currently working on which is the 1st track

What have you got coming up?
See above!

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
If you are feeling something, please reach out and tell the artists. When I was younger I assumed everyone was too big and unapproachable but have found that this really isn’t the case, especially with social media. With the new age of streaming instead of sales, getting your fans reaching out to you feels so damn good – so don’t be shy and give it a go!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
