551 – Redlight

Hugh Pescod is better known as Redlight, a DJ, record producer, re-mixer and composer from Bristol, England who was brought up around 90’s warehouse rave culture in the city. His music and career has spanned over a decade, having spent 12 years grafting on the underground, popping up for air in 2012 with a couple of Top 10 UK hits in the national charts.

With his label ‘Lobster Boy’ embracing a love for House, Techno, Hip Hop and vocal-lead dance music, whilst channelling his knowledge and love of Jungle, DnB and bass music, it is a whole new genre-free ‘cross-cultured dance music’ label. His 2015 album Colour X cemented his place amongst electronic music fans and recently he has collaborated with artists such as Mobb Deep, Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan) and remixed acts including Mary J. Blige and Tink, defining genres, remaining one of the UK’s most consistent and exciting producers of recent years with many more to come.

Redlight plays at South West Four on the Outside Main Stage on Sunday 27th August with Deadmau5, Knife Party, Sub Focus, Bakermat and many more. He also plays at Amnesia 8th August for Together and Boomtown Festival for the Lobster boy take over on Saturday 12th August. Also for our US fan he’s at Palm Springs this weekend August 11-13, for the fifth year of Splash House, a multi-venue festival hosted across three resorts in Palm Springs for one amazing weekend.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
