NUDE063: Soolver

Share

The Techno project Soolver was founded by the long-term buddies Julian and Simon back in 2018 Mainz / Germany. Both played in several bands and were djing in local clubs till they fell in love with Techno.

The passion to make electronic music and dance to it is something they shared for many years now. It took some time till they realized sharing the stage is one of the best feelings they could get. Soolver stands for modern Techno – handmade!

Besides producing and djing Soolver runs an own nightlife brand (Kleinlaut) in their hometown and is part of VERBOTEN which was the best stage to practice their DJ Sets and get a sensitive feeling for the crowd.

Getting support from hometown neighbours Teenage Mutants and Italian Techno Master Frankyeffe their next release will be on the highly-rated label ‘RIOT Recordings‘ followed by a three-track EP on Metodi Hristov label for finest Techno ‘Set About‘.

Today, he joins the NUDE Techno podcast, with an hour of Techno. Listen to it below on SoundCloud & Mixcloud. If you are feeling this series, then please consider supporting it on Mixcloud Select.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words…
This set shows our style from harder rolling tracks to more melodic ones with epic breaks.

What’s your personal favourite track on it?
We would say that “Quasar” by Skober is our favourite. We like them all but this one brings back some old school trancy vibes. It is hard to describe, but this track just feels right from start to finish.

What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
Next to our own upcoming tracks, we think that it is the balance between melodic and harder techno parts.

Tell us about your next EP? (or track)
Our current release is “Transis” on Tragedie. Pretty untypical for us but we had a lot of fun making this more “analog” track and are very happy to have it released on Teenage Mutants new label.

What have you got coming up?
We worked a lot on new songs since Covid came up and have some EPs coming up in spring on Frankyeffes RIOT Recordings and summer on Metodi Hristov’s label SET ABOUT.

And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
Although Covid struck us very hard as artists, we managed to have 2020 be the best year on our musical journey so far. Keep chasing your goals, no matter what.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
