Watch Zeno van den Broek’s ‘Shift Symm.two’

Shift Symm on Establishment Records delves into edgy electronic abstraction, with Dutch-born, Copenhagen-based composer Zeno van den Broek. Capping off the release, we have the premiere of the new video by artist Daan Kars, extending the immersive audiovisual experience of Zeno’s creation.

Shift Symm is a brutal, abstract construction, available both as a 3-track digital EP and a limited edition audiovisual release. Raw, exposed electronic textures collide in oscillating patterns of drift. Shifting is a key principle in the three works. Visual and sonic elements – beats, lines and blocks – perpetually breach the symmetry of their arrangements, switch to new paths and start new trajectories. In chains of transformations, order gives way to controlled entropy.
