Into The Valley and Into The Factory confirm first acts
As we mentioned before Into the Valley has moved for 2017 and they’ve added more events with Into The Factory & Into The Castle.
Into The Valley – now held in the sunken former quarry and prison of Rummu in Estonia, just outside Tallinn over June 29th to July 1st – and Into The Factory in Nynäshamn, Sweden over 10th to 12th August is beginning to develop an identity of its own with a curatorship that was specifically designed to fit each distinctive environment and each country with its unique culture.
Starting with Into The Valley, we can announce that the Estonian landscapes will be filled by the sounds of master mixer Jeff Mills, he is joined by the one and only Dixon. Some “repeat offenders” are coming back to rechristen the old quarry and prison of Rummu, such are their favourite ladies: Bella Sarris, Nastia and Janina, our favourite ladies The Black Madonna & Cassy add massive weight to the line-up plus a heavyweight like Andrey Zots and unconventional trailblazers like Hunee and Regis.
The bill for Into The Factory, in its own way, brings some massive techno grooves back to the Swedish countryside including Studio Barnhus (Axel Boman’s trio of DJs), a staple for each year’s festivities, who will be joined by godfather of Swedish techno himself, Adam Beyer. Interesting live sets by Bicep and Karenn, the quality of Andrew Weatherall & Veronica Vasicka and the unexpected technique of Magda are also note worthy additions to the line-up. To finalize, two different but definitive contemporary artists finish the current list, and those are mysterious Skatebård and festival darling Rodhåd.
This is how the line-ups are looking so far:
