Staybad‘s 19th label release drops in memory of their dear friend Matt Hardeman, known by his artist name Matth. Originally hailing from San Francisco, Matt migrated down to SoCal becoming a shining face in the San Diego house scene.

While getting his feet wet into production, he worked in the studio alongside the well-established SD-artist Mitch Dodge to put together some hard-driving tech-house cuts. We have the wonderful privilege of releasing these belters to the world, with an out-of-the-park remix from SNOE-founder, Beth Lydi.

‘Lydi’ comes from the Norwegian word ‘lyd i’, and means ‘sound in’ or ‘volume within’. The alias has followed Beth the entire life, as she is known for making a lot of noise. Born in Oslo, she grew up playing the violin and piano. Her curiosity has taken her around the entire world, and eventually, she ended up in Berlin.

Currently, she is the co-owner of “SNOE“, actively engaged in artist management & booking. as well as touring as a Dj throughout the world. Deep and bassy, you find her sound somewhere between techno and tech-house, though fresh, vivid and happy. Her distinctive sound definitely makes her a „must hear“ in the clubs and festivals around the world.

We premiere Beth’s remix on Data Transmission today, check it out below and grab it here.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
