SoundCloud to Establish Streaming Limits

Online music site, SoundCloud, have announced that new streaming regulations will come into action from July 1st, limiting the number of plays available through outside applications.

Revealing the plans via their Backstage Blog, SoundCloud said that in order to deal with “an increasing number of applications that abuse creator content”, the company will limit client applications that use the SoundCloud API to a maximum of 15,000 plays per 24-hours.

Thankfully, these limits won’t apply to embedded players such as the ones we use on Data Transmission, so you’ll still be free to stream all of our content as much as you like.
