Roni Size announces ‘New Forms’ Anniversary Live Show in London
This November, ‘New Forms’ by Roni Size & Reprazent celebrates its 20th anniversary.
The album weaves elements of each with the new electronic sounds of jungle and break-beats to create drum ‘n’ bass – of which ‘New Forms’ is one of the defining masterpieces. So much so that it won the 1997 Mercury Music Prize – fighting off Spice Girls, The Prodigy, Suede, Radiohead, Primal Scream and The Chemical Brothers and went on to sell 300,000 units in the UK with its release on BBC Radio 1 DJ Gilles Peterson’s Talkin’ Loud records.
After selling out the Oval Space and Roundhouse weeks in advance, Roni Size returns to London for an unmissable show celebrating the 20th anniversary. On Friday 23rd February, the Mercury Award winning producer will be performing a live AV hardware set of ‘New Forms’ at the iconic O2 Forum Kentish Town.
“Brown Paper Bag”, “Heroes” and “New Forms” are just a handful of Size’s iconic liquid D’n’B anthems that have propelled the Bristolian to the now iconic status he carries within the game. Expect a special A/V live show from one of the most legendary figures in Electronic Music.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday 27th October from www.soundcrashmusic.com
