Richie Hawtin Celebrates 25 Years of Plus 8 with New Album

25 years ago, Richie Hawtin and John Acquaviva launched Plus 8, the forward-thinking label which dominated techno throughout a large part of the ’90s. Although the imprint has remained relatively quiet for over a decade now, we think a 25th anniversary is definitely worth making a fuss about and it seems Richie agrees.

Dropping his new album From My Mind To Yours today, Hawtin celebrates Plus 8’s huge milestone, revisiting a host of old aliases, such as Plastikman and FUSE, along the way. Using a limited studio setup, Hawtin says he had “no real plans” for the project, “just the everyday process of getting up, turning on the gear and pressing record.“

The LP collects tracks released as a series of super-limited 12-inch singles over the past few weeks, and will be released as a complete set on CD, digitally and as a set of seven 12-inch singles.
