Mix Of The Day: Jamie Roy

DT heads north of the border for our latest Mix Of The Day, as one of Scotland’s most promising new artists, Jamie Roy, serves up an hour long set of selections bound to get you thinking about booking a trip to Ibiza this summer.

Currently based upon the White Isle (well for the warmer months at least) Roy’s rise through the ranks on the island has been nothing short of meteoric following him securing a weekly show at Sankeys for Doorly’s Shelter imprint with the 25 year old Scot now a regular fixture at Privilege’s much talked about party, Do Not Sleep and having taken a monthly residency in Dublin.

Jamie has also ramped up his studio game of late, releasing 6 EPs over the course of the last 12 months, including a 4 tracker for Skream’s Of Unsound Mind label. So with people standing up and taking notice for all the right reasons, we thought we’d welcome him in to the DT fold before the spotlight engulfs him fully. Remember where you heard him first.

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
