What started as a passion project on the Adriatic coast is now hitting double digits. That’s right, Membrain Festival is turning 10, and it’s not slowing down anytime soon. Since launching in 2016, this DIY-rooted, bass-soaked celebration has quietly built a reputation as one of Europe’s most authentic underground festivals. No frills, no egos, just pure sound system culture under the sun.
Nestled in the sun-drenched pine forests of Martinska, Šibenik, Croatia, between 31st July and 3rd August, Membrain isn’t your typical rave-on-a-beach affair. It’s a living, breathing organism powered by community spirit, forward-thinking programming, and a deep love for low-end pressure. Think dub, jungle, dubstep, grime, halftime, and every murky hybrid in between, all handpicked from across the global underground.
2025 marks a major milestone. A full decade of speaker stacks, sunsets, and sweaty dancefloors. And this year’s shaping up to be the most special edition yet. Expect the same hand-crafted lineup of selectors, MCs, labels, and collectives, repping every corner of the culture from local dons to international innovators, with a few surprises thrown in to the mix. Whether you’re there for the roots, the rollers, or the weird experimental bits at 3am, there’s space for you.
But Membrain has always been more than the music. It’s a vibe. A vibe fuelled by homemade food, cold beers, fresh sea air, and long conversations in the shade. It’s a place where crews from different countries link up, collab, and plot their next big move. Labels are born here. Friendships get forged. And those late-night sets you stumble across by accident? Pure magic.
