Kadenza return to Shanghaied with ‘Bambalaya’

Kadenza are back on Shanghaied! and with a couple of absolute BELTERS!

South East Kent based Tech House and House dj/producer duo Mark and Simon met in 2003. They met while both holding residencies at their local club in the South East of England. They were djing with the likes of Tall Paul, Jeremy Healy, Seb Fontaine and Danny Rampling.

Mark then went on to open ‘Essential Plastic’ record shop soon after, and Simon was then invited to work there as well. Both of them have over the past decade or so have also put their mind to production. The guys now have a bank of tracks signed and are dropping them on various labels this year.

‘Bambalaya’ is infectious from the off! wicked tribal drums and a solid bassline groove, laced with a slick produced tribal vocals this one has so much energy it’s insane.

‘ReKlutch’ is on a more techy tip, Super beefy! wicked, crisp drums cut through the heavy bassline, again with killer production on the vocals and a big ass bad man drop for good measure!

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
