Claude Monnet & Francesco Tarantini combine on ‘Nopia’

SSOH head Claude Monnet teams up with Italian producer Francesco Tarantini on ‘Nopia’. They embark on a Cacao release with two original tracks, with label heads K.E.E.N.E. and Joyce Muniz on rework duties.

Claude Monnet is one of France’s most-revered house and electronic music DJ’s. From his inception into music at the tender young age of 16, where he learnt how to spin wax at landmark clubs such as Le Queen, Le Palace and Les Bains Douches. Currently touring the world from London to Singapore and beyond, Claude’s name has become synonymous with deep grooves and blissful beats – it’s all given an extra special, smooth French touch, keeping Claude’s trademark style firmly intact.

Francesco Tarantini truly represents the new breed of artists, mixing in perfect harmony the old school elements and the new waves in his productions. Coming from southern Italy, he grew as DJ with the golden age of house music and tried to repropose his quality on the mix inside his tracks.

Opener & our premiere ‘Nopia’ is a slice of cinematic house, shuffling along with a mix of acrobatic basslines and dreamy pads, accompanied by a sunny, hands-in-the-air vocal hook.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
