Christian Merino is one of the freshest names of the Minimal Tech House scene. He next lands on the superb Deeperfect label with his ‘My Grandmother’ EP due out on Friday 11th June.
He has released on some of the most successful labels of the genre like Elrow and Roush label among others, probably for his signature sound, up-to-date Minimal tech-house with a funky groove vibe. Now is the time of his debut on Deeperfect with two original tracks and one trippy remix by the Parisian Hedzup label boss WLAD.
Melding together sub-bass pressure with a funky groove, pinpoint percussion and glitching synth warbles, Christian Merino delves through the minimal soundscape, carving out the best elements that the genre has to offer for this standout release. With WLAD on remix duties, he uses his signature synth stabs and tight percussion to give People a heavier hitting yet melodic touch.
