Charlie Rice debuts on Marylebone Records with ‘ Island’

Share

Charlie Rice makes his debut EP on Marylebone Records this week with the release of ‘Island’, a daytime party pick perfect for when we can finally get back into the clubs this summer.

The Cheshire-based DJ is a familiar face on the North West house scene with regular appearances at Mez, Giraffe and Glazbu. He earned global recognition early in his career for his deep tech grooves. Now he is crafting that deep, nasty, minimal sound for what looks to be a bright future in the industry.

With a killer baseline and infectious vocal, his latest track Island is perfect for primetime plays. Inspired by London’s Late Replies and Fused London events, Charlie Rice’s stripped-back roller has the iconic sound of Brick Lane institution, 93 Feet East. Upbeat glitchy stabs keep the party going from dawn until dusk. The EP features a piano remix by Blackpool duo Mikx and Khaki.

Marylebone Records said: “We are excited to be working with Charlie Rice on his debut EP. The EP’s techno house vibes immediately transport you to that all-day party in the sunshine. The cocktails are flowing and while the sun is setting, the Mikx and Khaki remix keeps the dancefloor full until the early morning. We hope it won’t be long until that dream is a reality!”

We premiere ‘Island’ on Data Transmission, today, check it out here and grab it on Beatport.
