Warung’s in house label continues to serve up essential underground tracks with this new EP from Blond:ish.
Blond:ish are Montrealers Anstascia D’Elene and Vivie-Ann Bakos, and together then have risen to the top of the pile thanks to slick tech, shimmering electronic house and dark pop fusions on labels like Mile End and Get Physical next to their regular home label Kompakt. Here they show off another side to themselves across two terrific tracks.
We premiere the title track ‘Mountains Of The Mind’, which is more trippy and intoxicating, with swirling synths and well treated vocals drifting about above a skeletal groove. Claps, drum fills and blasts of white noise flesh it out but the whole thing is utterly enchanting and sure to cast a spell on any dance floor.
