Atom™ & Tobias Announce 5 Hour Live Release

Multi-monikered German producer Uwe Schmidt – best known under his Atom™ alias – and Tobias   have announced plans to release an exclusive live set they recorded last December in Berlin nightspot Panorama Bar.

Pioneers of improvised electronic music, Atom™ and Tobias have been serving up live sets together for just under a quarter of a century with their now mythologised 1991 recording ‘Elektroniikkaa – Live in Helsinki and Montreux’ one of the first ‘live’ releases in techno history. That fateful record set the wheels in motion for a voyage neither artist probably envisaged taking, culminating in the release of a new live set showcasing their development as artists and where their sound lay in 2015.

Set for release November 11th, ‘AtomTM & Tobias – Extended Live Set, Berlin 10/12/2014’ is the first new and unreleased production to arrive on Atom™’s music platform AtomTM_Audio_Archive and will be presented as one five hour digital (.wav) file. Yes you read that correctly, we said one five hour .wave file. The reasoning behind this being that the artists wish to “reproduce the effect a fully improvised 5 hour + live set generates”.
