He breaks all genre rules so is definitely one to watch.
Ashmawy brings a fine mix of melody, emotion and groove to all he does. He has learned all the necessary skills off his own back and is someone with a sophisticated sound that has found him make his mark both in Egypt but also further afield in just three short years since his debut. He has played with the best in the game from Sasha to Ame and always likes to tell a real story with the selections he makes.
