Samath returns to Parallel Depth with ‘Heka’ EP

Share

After the success with ‘Bones’ in November last year and ‘The Less You Know’ in ‘Architextures III’, Samath showcases his versatility and experimentalism making clear his career just started. He returns to the Parallel Depth imprint with his latest EP entitled ‘Heka’.

This EP surprises us without a doubt not only because of the obvious level of this producer but the number of influences tied together in only 4 tracks. 4×4 patterns, acid synths and witch mantras are some of the elements inside this grisly collection.
To start the heat we find the EP homonymous ‘Heka’, a song that transports you directly to a New Orleans coven. With the sinister vocals from Laitha in the form of a mantra and a spooky sound design, this tune will drive us to a darkish atmosphere. For the second drop a 4×4 pattern version of the beat that will catch us on the spot.

Next up is ‘Bampot’. An 808 heavyweight bass gives the groove and acid synths progressions will be delivered into your ear canal. Influences that will get you to the 90s rave era.

For the third track we have ‘Teehee’, a dancefloor breaker with spooky mocking giggles and frenetic percussions will assure us a perfect dance in front of the sound system.

To close this EP we have ‘Remember What We Talked About’, a minimal deep synthetic track with techstep influences and complex patterns, this type of track is already a recurrent in Samath’s style.

Another great job from this artist and Parallel Depth, showing their great health state in musical matters with 2021 full of banging releases.

Today we premiere ‘Heka’ which you can check out below. The EP drops on 29th June, make sure you grab it from the purchase button beneath the Soundcloud player!
