DRKNET has officially entered the chat, and they are not here to play nice. When two of Neurofunk’s sharpest operators decide to merge circuits, you do not get a side project. You get impact. You get voltage. You get something built for the sweatbox at 2am when the bass bins are glowing, and the crowd is locked in.
DRKNET is the collision of ENTA and our very own MEL, two names that have been steadily tightening their grip on the darker end of the scene. Both have carved serious solo reputations with releases backed by Blackout, Eatbrain, Virus, RAM, UKF, DJ Mag and BBC Radio 1. That is not entry-level hype. That is groundwork laid in clubs, basements and festival arenas across Europe.
ENTA brings that shredded, no mercy edge. His productions are all sinew and steel, precision-engineered but still packing that raw punch. Years of graft behind the decks show in his fast switches and fearless blends. There is no coasting. It is all intent. MEL, meanwhile, is pure controlled chaos in the best possible way. High-energy technical skills, heavyweight selections and a presence that commands the booth. When she steps up, the room knows about it.
Together, DRKNET feels like a system upgrade. On the decks, it is straight carnage. From the first drop, the energy sits high and heavy, rolling neurofunk basslines snarling underneath crisp, surgical drums. The groove does not just move. It drives. It shoves. It locks dancers into that head down, screw face zone that only heavy Drum & Bass can deliver.
There is a chemistry here that feels natural rather than forced. No gimmicks. No polite back-to-backs. Just relentless pressure and a shared love for the darker corners of the culture. You can picture it already, sweat dripping from warehouse ceilings, rooftop sessions shaking city skylines, festival tents buckling under sub pressure.
DRKNET is not a slow-burning concept. It is a full-throttle statement. Two rising stars combining forces to push further, hit harder and take that Neurofunk edge straight to the heart of the rave.
I’m gassed that DRKNET is the latest addition to Renegade Riddims! MEL’s been on a couple of times before, but for reasons that escape me, ENTA has never done one (Note to self…fix this!). The mix is pure unadulterated carnage from start to finish…hold on to your hats, ravers… shit’s getting real with this one!
If you are about high-impact Drum & Bass and zero compromise energy, keep your eyes locked on DRKNET!

Q&A:
Sum up this mix in 10 words…
MEL: Melting pot of Neurofunk, covering all corners of the genre
What’s your personal favourite track on it?
ENTA: One of our DRKNET productions featuring 2SHY. Loved how this one came together!
What’s the special ingredient in this mix?
MEL: A real B2B: four-track rotation throughout, no solo halves, both of our styles colliding.
Tell us about your next release…
ENTA: We have our DRKNET debut EP forthcoming on a brand new UK-based neurofunk label launching this year, and our track with 2SHY will be part of it.
What have you got coming up?
MEL: Loads of exciting shows on the way. Some still under wraps, but we’ve got Get In Step Paris with the Hospitality crew coming up soon, and we’re coming back to Rotterdam sooner than you think! More UK dates to be announced, plus Hospitality on the Beach with the Virus and Darkshire gang, which we can’t wait for. It’s really good to see Neuro on the rise!
When was the last time you actually raved?
ENTA: We usually give ourselves a good few hours of dancing at every gig we’re booked at, so Hospitality Weekender in Butlins would have been our most recent rave.
And finally, do you have a special message for our readers?
MEL: Keep it heavy, keep it Neuro, see you on the floor!
