Next up on Bare Necessity Records is their biggest release to date, the ‘Bare Remixes’ EP! They asked Objectiv, Dedman, Lovell and their very own R.U.M to remix tracks from the last 2 years of the catalogue. They got the tracks brought up to date and man are they LARGE!
The first artist from the remix EP is Objectiv with his effort of B-Plexx ‘The Devil’. Felix, now based in Bristol, started mixing 10 years ago and has been producing for the last 6 years. One of his proudest moments throughout his journey has been releasing his first solo EP on Flexout Audio. With releases planned with artists like Lupo this year, we expect to see big things!
Next up is Dedman with his attempt at J-Plates ‘Slipstream’. Dedman is a Drum & Bass producer and DJ based in Bristol. Having spent the last few years developing his DJ style and amassing releases on imprints including Lifestyle, Lost Recordings and Skank ‘n’ Bass, his high energy productions and DJ sets have gained him traction and support from artists such as LTJ Bukem, Fade Black, René LaVice, Kyrist, Philth and Skank ‘n’ Bass.
Lovell is the third artist on this EP with his effort of missledz ‘Surveillance’ and he started producing 4 years ago. One of his greatest achievements was his ‘Grid’ EP. He has been DJing for around 8 years now, with the likes of Alix Perez and Friction originally getting him into Drum & Bass.
Rounding up the bunch we’ve got one of Bare Necessity’s own, R.U.M with his take on Treba ‘Techno Dub’. Tom, originally from Bradford, has spent the last 6 years making a name for himself mixing and being the frontman on Bare Necessity Records. Taking inspiration from Skeptical and Kasra, his journey to be a producer started 4 years ago. In that time he’s had multiple releases and free downloads.
Today we premiere Dedman’s contribution to the ‘Bare Remixes’ EP which comes in the shape of his remix of J-Plates ‘Slipstream’ which you can check out below.
