Sound Out returns to De-Funk

Share

Equipped with the most Irish sounding name since Pádraig and discography of old school influenced house weaponry, Sound Out is on to a winning formula.

His distinctive take on house music is a by-product from his love of early house music and UK rave, twisted with modern production techniques and solid beats. Hailing from Kilkenny, a small town in the southeast of Ireland with an amazingly rich arts scene, his productions are almost entirely collaborations between local musicians.

Sound Out returns to De-Funk and this time on the deeper vibe. First up we have our premiere ‘Street Walking’ which calls back to the early deep house vibe, complete with big analogue sounds and gorgeous vocal cuts. The second offering, ‘Pray For Me’, leans towards a Progressive House sound utilising quirky synths and haunting vocals!!

He has definitely upped his game with this release, we’re really looking forward to hearing lots more from this talented producer.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
