Ren Phillips & YINGYANG land next on SOUP with their ‘Raver’ EP

For their next release, SOUP enlists the talents of two of the UK’s hottest producers right now, Ren Phillips & YINGYANG. 

If you haven’t heard of the dynamic pairing of YINGYANG & Ren Phillips yet, there’s a sizeable chance that’s going to change in the coming weeks and months. The up and coming London-based production duo have been making waves since establishing themselves in 2017.

Relatively new to the game in comparison to some of it’s biggest names, yet already earning his stripes as a reputable DJ and producer. YINGYANG first appeared on the scene in 2014, playing for the well-known and sorely missed Magna Carta parties at the world famous Sankeys in Ibiza.Since his musical inception, YINGYANG has made a commendable impact on the underground scene. With gigs across the UK, and Europe already under his belt, he has shown signs of having all the credentials to one day become a household name in the industry.

Rayners Lane producer Ren Phillips is newest name being spoken about on dancefloors around the world. Since taking the leap to team up with YINGYANG, Ren has developed an already distinguishable UK Funky-inspired, Tech House signature unlike any other. With an influx of bookings across some of London’s best clubs, releases on Sola, Elrow, La Pera, Roush, Resonance, Lost & more, along with an entire arsenal of music on the way it is shaping up to be a definitive year for Ren as an artist as he continues to put his stamp on the industry.

The fellas drop two jackin’ house jams starting off with the title track “Raver”, an exploration of classic rave synth sounds along with shufflely hats and crispy claps.  The second track “NY Drip” has its own share of throwback vibes with a relentless 303 acid line and pumping percussion.  SOUP’s own Love & Logic round out the release with a blazin’ remix of “Raver” that’s a homage to the vintage Chicago house sound.
