Premiere: Wally Callerio – Quincy’s Groove ft. Chuck Daniels

Share

Fourteen years after the first instalment, Dufflebag Recordings serve up a second volume of The Love Safari by American Wally Callerio. The concept for the series is to put out music that is inspired by late nineties deep house from Chicago, all mixed with some fresh modern vibes. It is an arty affair that offers something more lasting than standard club fare, and as such stands out from the crowd thanks to its timeless house styles.

All the tracks here go their own way rather than paying heed to any trends and find Wally Callerio pushing the same sound he has since he first started in 1997. In the ensuing years he has released on Defected, Cajual Recordings, Classic, amongst many others, but here he is back on his own esteemed label.

We premiere ‘Quincy’s Groove’ which kicks things off and is a collaboration with Chuck Daniels. It’s a nice and melodic house track stuffed with feel good and summery vibes and is a great opener.

Check it out.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
