Premiere: FREE.D & Mik Kartl – Digital Pope (Montel remix)

Share

Moscow crew Hidden Vibes continue to speed their musical messages around the world with a new EP from label regulars FREE.D & Mik Kartl.

FREE.D has worked with fellow Russian Mik Kartl before, their sound is fresh and accessible and made for big clubs and here their original comes backed with our debut transmission today, a remix from pure house talent Montel.

‘Digital Pope’ is a rousing track with firmly rooted drums. Prickly synths and colourful pads all flesh them out as a male vocal talks about the power of music in stirring ways.  UK talent Montel then steps up, an artist who puts out solid house and techno tunes on labels like Bedrock and Knee Deep In Sound. Here he layers in some big piano chords and flips the drums into harder hitting affairs. There is more of a late night energy to his track that makes a nice counter to the original.

These are two essential and fresh house tunes design with good times in mind.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
