New imprint Evolution Chamber launches with ‘Mantis’

Magnetude make a stunning debut entry on Evolution Chamber with their long-awaited track ‘Mantis’. This track has torn up dance floors on the festival circuit this summer. It also highlights the first part of the imprint’s catalogue. And when considering the standard which has already been set by ‘Mantis’, Evolution Chamber’s launch couldn’t have been any bigger. The imprint has been launched by Task Horizon, Receptor and Magnetude themselves, so this was bound to be the one and only outcome.

For the last three years, Magnetude have been shaking the very core of drum and bass, drawing for their twist on the neuro infused dancefloor tracks which have graced the catalogues of labels such as RAM, Viper and Eatbrain. With sets at some of this year’s leading parties, such as Let It Roll and Creamfields festivals and Get in Step, they’re now about to unleash the ‘Mantis’, a track which has become a notorious staple within their tracklists since it was first teased in May.

Its cinematic passage alerts you to a sinister atmosphere, one which will surely lead to your hairs standing on edge – the sonics tell the story of a Godzilla-like Mantis drawn from the deepest depths and leading an assault against a city… Something which can be felt through the record’s neurotic twists and cinematic opening sequence. Growling samples cut through its pounding, drum peppered intro, before you’re dragged into its grasps with no hope of return.

‘Mantis’ is a huge track and we’ve been as excited about its release as everyone else! The energy it emanates makes me want to go out raving now and it’s only 8:30am! This is gonna do serious damage to remaining dancefloors over the coming months, it’s a great start for the fledgeling label!
