Mishell & Oi combine on ‘Ego’ via Yaffa Records

Share

Mishell & Oi land on Yaffa Records on 18 February 2026 with ‘Ego’, and we’ve got the Data Transmission premiere.

Yaffa Records has been building a tidy catalogue of heads-down club records, and ‘Ego’ fits that line nicely.

Mishell has been edging into his own lane over the past few years. House roots, indie dance flashes, a bit of psychedelia tucked in the corners. Through his Mess project, he’s pushed more than just tracks, events, visuals, and community. It all feeds back into the music. You can hear it in the confidence.

Oi, aka Omer Inbar out of Tel Aviv, brings the technical weight. A decade deep, sharp ears, and a sound that pulls house and trippy textures into something built for long sets. With his forthcoming ‘Interstellar’ LP on Powdermusic, he’s clearly not slowing down.

‘Ego’ locks in early. Rolling bassline, steady and stubborn in the best way. Warm synth layers drift over crisp, plucky chords that land tight. It doesn’t rush. It builds. There’s proper tension in the title cut, the kind that sits nicely in a 2am slot when the room is focused, and the lights are low.

The extended sections give DJs room to work. Space to blend. Space to tease. It’s the sort of record that stretches across sweaty basements and early morning terraces without changing its tone. This one feels right for now.

We’re premiering ‘Ego’ today on Data Transmission. Full release drops 18 February 2026 via Yaffa Records on all major platforms.
