Techords welcomes MAYO (US) to the family with his ‘Check Yo’ Self’ EP. The release includes two strong hip-hop inspired cuts backed up by a heavy edit from label boss Jhojho.
Ameya Deshpande, aka, MAYO started this project with one goal in mind: to create an emotional experience for the people on the dance floor. Growing up in the Bay Area in California, MAYO was exposed to many styles of music, however, he quickly found a passion for house music.
This passion fueled him to create his own sounds in the studio. His genre-blending productions create a unique experience on the dance floor and whether it’s through his deep, techy basslines or his soulful melodic productions, MAYO aims to create the same emotional response he feels when listening to his favourite tunes.
With his debut single out on RUVA House Records in 2023, MAYO plans to continue releasing music that inspires him and leave his mark on the house music scene for years to come.
