Markus Mehta opens 2024 on home turf with the unveiling of his new single ‘Walk Away’, featuring a remix by Cosmin Horatiu.

An artist deeply immersed in electronic music, Markus Mehta has straddled the lines between house, techno and everything in between while holding down a four-year residency at Munich’s legendary Rote Sonne and performing at iconic hotspots like Berghain and Cocoon.

With an approach focusing on quality first, his music has found its way to a long list of impressive labels, in addition to heading up Mehta Audio. Launched in 2022, the label offers a platform for Mehta’s solo work, aiming to push and craft fresh, captivating sounds and ideas spanning genres and styles.

His latest single ‘Walk Away’ marks the fifth release on the imprint, following support from the likes of Joseph Capriati, Stacey Pullen, Frankey & Sandrino, Animal Trainer and techno icon Richie Hawtin, who championed the debut drop heavily across the globe during the summer of 2022.

Fueled by a thick, powerful kick drum, resonating low frequencies and an invigorating groove, ‘Walk Away’ sees Mehta deliver a modern, minimal house cut combining mesmerising vocals, tripped-out melodic fragments and extravagant pads, while Cosmin Horatiu’s take infuses a funk-driven bassline with elements from the original to offer up a slow-burning dancefloor adventure, culminating in a cool and cohesive close to the release.

Markus Mehta ‘Walk Away’ drops via Mehta Audio on 9th February 2024.
