Angelo Ceci lands on Steve Lawler’s VIVa Label Group’s techno imprint iVAV Recording with his ‘Gray Smoke EP’.

A skilled musician and drummer, Italian techno producer Angelo Ceci always aims to capture the most secretly hidden emotions of his listeners and encourage them surrender to the music. With previous releases coming on Toolroom, Circus & Saved, the Italian is a name to watch out for.

Opening the EP and setting the tone for the 4-track EP, title track ‘Gray Smoke’ delivers driving techno layered with a blend of R&B and soulful male vocals that transports you instantly to the dancefloor at peak time.

Next comes ‘Insomnia 90’ which sees Ceci bring fellow Italian vocalist Lady Vale on board with her signature seductive tones filled with intrigue once again layered perfectly over the producers driving techno. ‘Gioggi’ hits hard from the first beat and shows a more experimental side to the producers sound with disco leaning synth lines filling the breakdown before heading back to the four-four drive making this a seriously intriguing proposition for the floor. ‘Money’ closes out the EP with percussion leading from the front showcasing Ceci’s drumming background and the influences it has on his overall sound.

Ceci’s debut EP on iVAV is filled with intent to fill floors around the world with his signature style.
