Adam James fires up ‘Rave Genny’ on Simmetry Sounds

Share

Adam James lands on Simmetry Sounds with ‘The Way You Move / Rave Genny’, out 17th July, and we’re premiering ‘Rave Genny’ today on NUDE Techno.

The Toronto producer brings a classical background into the darker end of the club, pairing melodic detail with weighty drums, rolling low-end and the kind of rumble built for warehouse systems.

‘Rave Genny’ is the more playful cut of the release. Bouncy percussion keeps it moving while bright synth lines push through the pressure, adding colour without softening its impact. It is melodic techno with enough drive for the late shift and enough character to hold its own in a packed room.

Following his ‘Airplane Mode’ EP on Eclipse Recordings, Adam James continues to sharpen the balance between heavy techno and melodic hooks. Simmetry Sounds proves a natural home, with the Canadian label already focused on driving rhythms and cinematic touches.

We’ve got the first play below. Listen to Adam James’ ‘Rave Genny’ now, then grab the full release when it lands on Beatport.
