LWE’s Guide to New Year’s Partying

Are good friends at LWE, London’s Biggest Underground Event Organisers, holding parties in unique and unusual locations across the capital.

They are Exclusive music promoters at Tobacco Dock which holds events such as the recent AMP Rave (check our review here)Drumcode Halloween, ABODE Sunday party and the upcoming Carl Cox NYD, this year launched one of the festivals of the year in Junction 2 – which they’ve announced returns in 2017 on Saturday 10th June and they are programming the exciting new Printworks venue. Refusing to be pigeonholed to one venue, or one style, LWE’s versatility is held together by operational excellence and a creative mindset.

Ahead of the their New Years Events we asked them to put together a guide to their ultimate party, we asked them to look back at previous headliners to pick their highlights and choose their biggest NYE tracks.

To start the party, you need some headliners, here’s their favourites!

Anja Schneider

Anja always brings the heat to Tobacco Dock, and was our resident in 2015. She has brought in some really great moments to the venue over the past few years, and plays music in the sweet spot between where house and techno meet. She’s perfect for NYD parties.

Maceo Plex

Last year Maceo Plex brought his Dream Don’t Sleep crew to the Great Gallery in Tobacco Dock, with a cocktail of otherwordly sounds. It was a hedonistic journey that was full of energy and had plenty of twists and turns.

Maya Jane Coles

With Maya you’re always going to be treated to something special, and on the first day of 2015, she helped us curate some of the lineup at LWE NYD to help show her tastes. Playing in the Car Park and Great Gallery also gave her the opportunity to try things different with 2 sets.

Paul Woolford

Paul Woolford has turned into something of a regular at Tobacco Dock, and someone that really knows how to get the car park going from the front to the back.

Seth Troxler

Seth was the first headliner at out first ever event at Tobacco Dock, and it was the start of something special for us. This one really brings back some good memories, the excitement about using the space for the first time- when we announced it. The nervousness we were feeling just before doors, and the euphoria once we knew the first LWE NYD was up and rocking.
