How to plan a Techno Album with Hybrasil
Berlin based producer and prolific live performer Hybrasil creates his latest body of work for his eponymous vinyl and digital label entitled “TEN”. Innovative sounds spread across ten tracks, the album is a 360 concept release, all writing, mixing and mastering was conducted by Hybrasil at HBL Studios, Berlin.
Will Kinsella aka Hybrasil extended his musical web a step further evolving his career as a DJ, studio engineer and producer. He’s been sharing his expansive knowledge of music production through his new online music production school – Elevator Program. Knowing what it’s like to start from scratch, and empathising with the frustrating barriers DAW’s have on the creative process of music production, Will and a close-knit team developed a series of learning programs to guide and teach artists the art of electronic music production.
With the time and effort devoted into his work over the years, Kinsella (widely known as Hybrasil) has carved his mastery of production skills and his technical skills as a DJ which has resulted in bookings on big stages and festivals around the globe. With such a wealth of knowledge in the industry, he has taught in universities around the world such as Dublin Institute of Technology, the Sound Training Centre, and the SAE Institute in Berlin, therefore he is no stranger to sharing his wisdom in a clear manner.
I chatted to Will on Twitch recently about how he made the album, tips for techno producers and his Elevator program. You can find out more about the program here.
