Hack the DJ: Becoming a Radio Presenter for BBC Radio with Jaguar

Share

In this video, Grahame Farmer chats to Jaguar at our recent HACK THE DJ event in Milton Keynes for International Women’s Day in Milton Keynes. Grahame & Jaguar chat about her journey through BBC Radio including BBC Radio 1 and BBC 3 Counties.

We wanted to start by looking at a huge local problem, which is the drastic lack of female DJ talent. We have curated a FREE day of discussions, panels, keynote addresses and fireside chats with some truly inspirational music industry women & men from across the industry.

With a supercharged backlog of award-winning radio shows, electrifying mixes and the sharpest eye for cutting edge new music, Jaguar is one of the most impressive and exciting new DJ’s to break out onto the UK scene. Whether she is tearing up clubs, nurturing unsigned music for BBC Music Introducing, or playing the freshest house, techno and disco on Reprezent Radio, everything she does is with authentic energy and positivity like no other.

This was instantly picked up by the BBC, who brought her on board their Radio 1 and 1Xtra internship and as a member of its esteemed Youth Council back in 2014. Since then, Jaguar has become part of the cornerstone team for BBC Music Introducing, as a presenter on BBC Three Counties Radio for Beds, Herts & Bucks, as well as working behind the scenes for the BBC’s core music platform. Jaguar is also recognised as the host and face of Mixmag’s world-famous office party, The Lab LDN. Jaguar is a rising star in the music and media spheres.
