Introducing The DJ Awards Grand Jury: A New Era Begins

Share

We’re excited to introduce something big for The DJ Awards: the launch of the Grand Jury. This bold new move is designed to bring more transparency, credibility, and real industry insight into every step of the awards process.

This expert panel will help shape categories, nominate artists and industry players, and ensure that The DJ Awards truly reflect what’s happening in the global electronic music scene right now.

As one of the longest-running and most respected celebrations of electronic music, The DJ Awards has always championed the people and places shaping dance music culture—from artists and labels to clubs, festivals, and behind-the-scenes talent. This next chapter reinforces that commitment.

The DJ Awards have brought together a powerhouse of professionals from every corner of the industry. The Grand Jury includes voices from booking agencies, clubs, festivals, media, streaming, labels, PR, and more—offering a diverse, global perspective rooted in experience and expertise, not individual bias.

Crucially, jury members are chosen based on their roles within leading organisations, not just as individuals—so the decisions reflect collective industry impact, not personal taste.

And this isn’t a one-time thing. Every year, new members will be invited to keep the panel fresh and in tune with dance music’s ever-evolving landscape.

This is a turning point for The DJ Awards—one that puts authenticity and innovation at the centre and celebrates the real pioneers, visionaries, and game-changers in our world.

Watch this space for nominee announcements, new categories, and some special recognitions.

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
