The twentieth release from Bratislava’s Leporelo sees label honcho Milos uncork a flying new outing accompanied by diverse gamut of remixes.
The nine-minute original rides a booming 80s-style bassline motif over which drift floating pads and electronic sighs like the Clangers on downers attempting their group masturbating ritual. Slovakian duo Sensoreal gorgeously remould the track with dense pads, cantering groove and subtly shifting keyboards.
Unexpectedly but doubly effectively, Richard Scholtz’s Nu-Synthetic Remix takes a slinky funk route, with down tempo stretches, still lacing the sound with hallucinogenic space-rodent genitalia but building a cosmic soul boudoir to retreat to. Damolh33 then takes yet another turn, stripping down to Satan’s scrotum bass throb and rough-shod broken house beats, pebble-dashed with evil keyboard flickers and omnipresent space wooze.
Finally, Milos returns with his Dub Re-Work, a sparser trot around his epic original offering. He’s got a right to be proud.
