Translation gains a new recruit in the form of CJ Weaver, as the Washington, D.C.-based upstart prepares to drop his debut Flood EP.
The six track affair promises “immersive soundscapes with a live and organic feel,” and upon listening we’d have to agree that atmospherics and emotive textures are clearly top of CJ’s agenda.
To celebrate the release, Translation are offering DT readers a free download of bonus track ‘Flash Freeze’. Brooding and otherworldly, the track showcases CJ love for the off-kilter, with beats that attack in bursts and an experimental aesthetic.
