Trex is an artist that has established himself as one of the most exciting artists within Drum & Bass of late. Having released on MAC2, Sofa Sound and his own label Trust Audio in recent times his work is played and listened to by peers and listeners across the spectrum of D&B.
Trex‘s new album ‘Fifteen Doors’ is his second LP and it shows range and progression, unlike many other artists. He has chosen to work with a number of vocalists on the LP, again the theme of range is evident in his choice of vocalists. We have D&B stalwarts Medic MC, Gardna, Pastry Maker and Fats all appearing as well as Bristol 140 king Buggsy. Ella Jones, Mortimer Jackson and Nina Provencal all turn in amazing performances for the tracks they’re featured on. We also have production collaborations with Trex’ longtime partners in crime Trimer, Bailey and Jaybee.
‘Fifteen Doors’ is a landmark moment for Trex and Mac 2 Recordings. The feedback on the album so far has been astonishing and no doubt this is going to go down as one of the best LP’s to come out of the shitstorm of 2020!!
