Trex remixes DJ Zinc ft Alicai Harley ‘Bubble’

DJ Zinc and Alicai Harley have unveiled the remix package for their collaborative single ‘Bubble’, which is out on 17th April on Zinc‘s Bingo Bass imprint.

First up on remix duties is Manchester-based DJ and producer Florentino, who delivers a reggaeton-flavoured rework of ‘Bubble’ that is inspired by his British-Colombian heritage. The stripped-back edit expertly pairs percussive rhythms with UK bass structures. Next up is our premiere from merging Drum & Bass talent Trex who drops a remix that places the track’s monster bassline at centre stage. Closing the remix package is Norwich DJ and producer Sully who gives ‘Bubble’ a serious 2-step workout that will no doubt strike a chord with UKG fans.

Real name Benjamin Pettit, DJ Zinc is a prolific British DJ and producer who first emerged onto the scene way back in 1995 with hip-hop/jungle fusion hit ‘Super Sharp Shooter’, quickly cementing himself as a key figure of the Breakbeat, Jungle and Drum & Bass scenes. He is known for pioneering new styles and has consistently redefined his sound. He jumps effortlessly between musical genres and is one of few artists who can claim to have had genuine underground and commercial hits across house, breakbeat, UK garage and drum & bass, having sold over 1,000,000 physical records across his own productions and labels.

Still in the early stages of her music career, Alicai Harley first broke through with ‘Gold’, an irresistible slice of summer, which was heavily supported by an array of tastemakers, including Seani B, DJ Target, Sian Anderson, Mistajam, Toddla T, David Rodigan, Trevor Nelson, and Charlie Sloth across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra.

Trex is a longtime fanatic of Drum & Bass from Camden, London who has seen releases on Flexout Audio, Machinist Music, RUN DNB and many more. Last weekend he took part in the NHS Fundraiser ‘Stay At Home Festival’ which saw an amazing amount of fans locked in and money raised.
