Stream: Lifelike & Kris Menace – Ecstasy

Something a bit different as Lifelike & Kris Menace team up on this new release coming on Spinnin records in May.

Titled “Ecstasy” its an acid house monster of a track, the vocal feels like its straight out of Energy Flash, whilst the 303 is wobbly, all the bits we like!  We have the track as an exclusive stream today and we’ve got this quote from the guys about the track and their feelings behind it.

Exclusive quote Lifelike & Kris Menace on ‘Ecstasy’:

“Manchester and the Hacienda always had a special place in our hearts: it’s part of our musical culture, this is where it all happened, the birth of acid-house & techno movement, Tony Wilson, Factory records, 808 State, etc…

Back home in our studio, it was obvious,  we had to do it, we had those old Roland TB-303/TR-707/Akai S950 sampler under a pile of dust that we had totally forgotten. This is what we used to produce ‘Ecstasy’, all in one night, and we’re really proud of it, as it sounds like no other records out now on the scene.”

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
