With a love for crystalline melodies, gentle pads, and complex drum programming, Valencian producer Jose Bernat, better known as Pépe, has elegantly been traversing the realms of house and electro for the last two years. Armed with a sound that is inherently sincere, moody, and emotive, he was awarded 2018’s Spanish Producer of the Year in DJ Mag Spain.

Pépe has released an impressive eight records in the last two years, where he has released music on Sprung Records, Anti Skate, In Records, Renascence, Lobster Theremin, Deep Sea Frequency, and More.

Pépe releases his ‘Las Arenas’ on the Clipp.Art imprint, they’re pushing almost lo-fi type house/techno sounds. “Las Arenas” puts a gentle twist on the classic Detroit-sound formula while taking it up a vibe with a mixture of high-velocity TR-808 percussion, ninja-sharp arpeggios, and full-bodied bassline that will have shadows moving uncontrollably. Stay tuned for the vinyl release!

Today, he joins our Spotlight Series and you can grab the ‘Las Arenas’ here!

Grahame Farmer

Grahame Farmer’s love affair with electronic music goes back to the mid-90s when he first began to venture into the UK’s beloved rave culture, finding himself interlaced with some of the country’s most seminal club spaces. A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
