Acid Harry steps up for Data Transmission Spotlight Mix ahead of DT’s Shoreditch party

South London’s Acid Harry lands on the latest Data Transmission Spotlight Mix, and it’s exactly the sort of rolling Latin Tech and peak-time Tech House energy you’d expect from someone who lives for busy dancefloors.

Harry has been building serious momentum over the past few years. Releases across labels like Toolroom, Glasgow Underground, Hellbent Records, Adesso, Process, and Dvine Sounds have put his name firmly in DJ record bags, while Beatport chart action and support from the likes of Cloonee, Solardo and Carl Cox have helped push his sound far beyond the capital.

This mix gives a proper snapshot of where he’s at right now. Tight grooves, Latin percussion, chunky basslines and a few cheeky vocal moments sprinkled in for good measure. Exactly the sort of gear you’d expect to hear cutting through a sweaty warehouse or rooftop session.

The tracklist pulls in weapons from Tom Enzy, Siwell, Blackchild, Andruss, Wuki, Honeyluv and Cloonee, while Harry also slips in a few of his own cuts including ‘Loca’ on Alleanza and two unreleased heaters, ‘Favella’ and ‘La Bomba’. DJ tools, club rollers and Latin heat from start to finish.

It also lands just ahead of Data Transmission’s return to the dancefloor. On Saturday 2 May, DT relaunches its event series at The Horse & Groom in Shoreditch, with Acid Harry and Loz Seka leading the charge alongside Dr SJ, Danny B and Luke Siekiera.

The Horse & Groom has hosted plenty of wild nights over the years, and this one should be no different. Small room, big energy, proper club vibes. Exactly how we like it.
