OD Math – Deliverance

Label: Electronical Reeds
Score: 7.5/10

OD Math is one of the regular faces on the Belgium label Electronical Reeds and here he comes up with another fine house offering that gets backed up by an excellent remix from long established tech house titan Kiki, a name who you’ll doubtlessly recognise from his track, Good Voodoo, and his radio station of the same name. Anyhow, Mathias aka O.D.Math, has been a focal part of the Belgian music scene for over 10 years. Starting his career at private events he was quickly booked to Brussels’ most prominent parties and clubs and that all shows in the fullness of his offering here.

His original, ‘Deliverance’, is a down low, groover and grinding bit of house music with spritely chords and nicely textured bass that will get floors moving in style. A track that sticks out from the pack for all the right reasons, it neatly sets its up for the remix. Indeed, the remix is even better, an is a subtle rework with extra airy percussion and a skipping sense of groove that’ll work a treat during the night’s more poignant and introspective hours. No nonsense house music that’s been made with the true heads in mind.
