Although the internet will tell you that he is relatively new to the electronic music world, One Six isn’t new face in the world of electronic music. In 2005, One Six, or Tod to his Mum, formed one half of the Fidget House stable: ‘Stupid Fresh’. Under this guise, Tod would go on to have releases on labels such as: Skint, Cr2 and Champion; hit the number 1 spot in the Australian Dance Chart and see his music supported by legends like Moby, Fatboy Slim and The Crookers.
Fast-forward to 2014 and Tod’s ever-lasting love for House and Techno music forms the basis of a new project and as a result, ‘One Six’ is born. Deriving from the 4×4 signature of house music (4×4 = 16), not only is it clear that Tod has grasped the basics of maths arithmetic, his releases on Be Rich Records, Vicious Black and a prime spot on the Toolroom Ibiza compilation shows he’s picking up where he left off.
