Essex born and bred, and a Londoner through and through, Dipz Mistry made himself known DJing at some of the most renowned clubs/bars in the urban roots of Shoreditch, and in main party hotspots of central London.
Aspiring to his father’s unique record collection at the age of 6, Dipz grew up to the early sounds of Strictly Rhythm and exclusive New York and Chicago imports, which later inspired him to master the art of mixing records.
When Rinse FM welcomed Dipz as one of the first homegrown talent students on their inaugural Radio & Music Production Academy, he expanded his knowledge and education further – supporting some of the leading underground pioneers, DJ Zinc, DJ Wonder and Sir Spyro.
Securing his first weekly club residency in Kingston was the start. Performing with the likes of Tim Westwood and Charlie Sloth, he soon became one of London’s regular DJs – playing out at House nights across the city and the West End.
The knowledge, influences and experiences as a DJ made way for experimenting further as a producer. His remix of Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work From Home’ gained a significant response, and respectable industry support with recognition from BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra talent.
With new technologies forever being introduced, Dipz Mistry adapted accordingly, and soon achieved the Elite DJ award at London Sound Academy – supported by DOMUS Music label owner S.M.I.T.H, and 2018 Hannah Wants DJ Search winner, James Wilson. He has since developed this unique art and skill to a more superior level – and is now seen performing his most dynamic sets yet…
