Craig Forrest is a DJ who combines sublime technical fluency with a sixth sense for the mood of the crowd. Playing at legendary venues including the infamous Turnmills alongside Judge Jules, Sister Bliss and Tall Paul. Craig’s unique sound combines classic house elements, incorporated with fresh cuts straight from producers’ studios and a dabble of tech house, resulting in sets with a multi-layered techy vibe. This Summer Craig will be performing at the epic ‘Lets Love Life’ festival for the third year running alongside Seb Fontaine, Rob Roar, Tristan Ingram, Steve Mac & Slipmatt. When he’s not working the crowds to a frenzy playing out, Craig rocks his weekly ‘Soundlab’ radio show on Kane FM, broadcasting across Surrey & Hampshire on 103.7. The sessions showcase the latest promos from the world’s best underground house and techno artists and have been running for over 2 years.
Craig’s passion for music envelops his audience, whether it’s in the club or on the radio, with his tune selection and mixing skills painting an intimate aural picture to inspire the listener. Ever prepared to confront a crowd with edgier sounds, Craig is always willing to push boundaries to get the crowd moving. He focuses on letting the music speak for itself, crafting the mix so it is not only seamless but takes the listener on a unique musical exploration that feels fresh every time. In the words of the DJ “let the music be heard how it was created, less is more.” Connected to luminaries of the house and tech scene and uncovering the freshest talent, he is constantly searching for new music looking for those pushing boundaries musically, with a nod to the old school along the way.
As we move into 2018 you can find Craig spinning for ‘Collective’ at Guildford’s Thirty3hz venue and joining the ‘Koncept Alive’ crew for their intimate terrace parties at Pews Courtyard. Finally having always been a fond fan of Bristol and its music scene Craig will be relocating there in Summer so you can be sure to see him on the dancefloor or behind the decks in the city soon.
