A dynamic and eclectic DJ & producer, Carl Bee has risen from his native Malta, to worldwide acclaim, cementing a reputation as one of the most naturally gifted, and hard-working artists on the scene.
Consistently picking up unknown tracks and transforming them into floorfillers, Carl’s musical influences range from Deep House to minimal,Tech-House to Techno, an aural embodiment of his broad sonic palette across several sub-genres.
Amassing a wealth of releases on esteemed labels such as Green, Saved, Intec Digital, Lapsus, Lost Records, CR2, Time Has Changed and many more, Carl has garnered support from the biggest names in techno; including the likes of Solomun, Carl Cox, Dubfire, and Marco Carola.
Having started his weekly radio show ‘BEE Expedition’ in 2009 and his iTunes podcast, which features many of Car’s live sets, Carl launched his own weekly GRINGOS party, taking place every Summer in Malta’s Leading Open Air Venue, UNO. Hosting artists on a weekly basis like Kolsch, Green Velvet, Dubfire, Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli, The Martinez Brothers, Eats Everything, Tiga, Matthias Tanzmann, Jackmaster Roger Sanchez, and Kings Of Tomorrow.
Fast forward to the present day, Carl has signed 2 EP’s with Carl Cox’s Iconic record label INTEC and on Joris Voorn’s Green seen him cracking the beatport charts with the tracks ‘Untifight” & “Pacer” after its been heavily supported by Carl Cox, Solomun, Adam Beyer & Joseph Capriati just to name a few. The Maltese producer’s “Dirt Fader” Leftwing & Kody Remix was named as one of the highlights at Sonar 2017 by Ibiza Club News, with the track storming its way into the Beatport top 20 Tech House Chart. The release followed Carl’s 2016 remix of Apexape’s ‘Joy & Pain’ which received heavy airplay from BBC Radio 1 tastemaking trio Annie Mac, Pete Tong, and Danny Howard. He also teamed up with Sandy Riviera on ‘Water On Mars’ via Deepvisionsz, after remixing Sandy’s production ‘I Remember.’
Recently performing b2b with the likes of Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli & James Zabiela at Gringos, Carl also played at The BPM Festival in Portugal, Abode parties at Studio 338 in London and Amnesia Ibiza, Cafe Mambo, The Lost & Found Festival and Park Life Festival, with 2019 already shaping up to be the biggest and best year of his career to date.
