DT956 - Mauro Venti - Data Transmission

Mauro Venti steps into the Data Transmission Podcast. Verona’s Venti joins us this week with 60 minutes of rolling tech-house pressure.

Over the last decade, Mauro has built a serious catalogue across labels including Spinnin’ Deep, STMPD RCRDS, Hot Creations, Repopulate Mars, Toolroom, Relief, Glasgow Underground, Dirtybird, Sola, Techne, Desert Hearts, Circus Recordings, Snatch! Records, Kaluki and Nervous. Not a bad little run.

His sound sits right in that sweet spot between club-ready groove and underground bite. Tough drums, sharp basslines, and enough bounce to keep things moving from warm-up rooms to late-night basements.

The mix follows that same thread, moving through cuts from Malikk, SAGO, TWENTYSIX, Amal Nemer, Jude & Frank, ESSED, Cyava, Davide T, Marco Lys, Thomas Newson, David LeSal, Nausica, TCTS, DONT BLINK, and more.

There’s also a big one from Mauro himself, as he features his forthcoming single ‘You Move Me’ alongside Dantiez, The Saunderson Brothers and JKLN. With Kevin Saunderson’s family name involved, you know there’s a bit of history in the room.

Mauro calls the mix a “progressive musical journey” powered by passion and selection. Fair enough. That’s exactly what a good guest mix should be.

Lock in for the next hour and get into Mauro Venti’s Data Transmission Podcast mix.

Today, he joins us on the podcast for the first time. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or Apple Podcast here.

A trip to dance music’s anointed holy ground of Ibiza in 1997 then cemented his sense of purpose and laid the foundations for what was to come over the next few decades of his marriage to the music industry.
