Janika Tenn steps in for the latest Data Transmission mix, fresh from the release of ‘Mystified’ on Tenn Tonik

International Women’s Day may have been yesterday, but we’re keeping the energy going today with a special mix from London-based Estonian producer Janika Tenn.

If you’ve been following the deeper end of house lately, Tenn’s name will already be on your radar. Her productions balance warmth and precision, and her new single ‘Mystified’, out now on her own Tenn Tonik imprint, leans right into that space. Soulful, 80s tinged, and built around Penny F’s smooth vocal, it’s the kind of record that slips perfectly into a late-night set.

Tenn has been steadily building her catalogue over the past few years, landing on labels like Nervous, Stress, D4 D4NCE and Armada, alongside collaborations with house legend Todd Terry. The common thread is always groove and control. Nothing rushed, everything placed exactly where it needs to be.

That approach carries into this mix.

Expect a journey through deep house cuts, rolling grooves and tracks designed for that sweet spot between warm-up and locked-in dancefloor moments. No tracklist this time around, just a selector letting the music speak.

Lock in and enjoy the ride.

Listen to Janika Tenn’s Data Transmission mix now.

Today, she joins us on the podcast again. Listen to it below, on Mixcloud or Apple Podcast here.

Sum up this podcast in 10 words
Groovy house, soulful moments, 90s flavour, and proper dancefloor energy.

What’s your personal favourite track in the mix?
It has to be my edit of When You Wake Up Tomorrow by Candi Staton. It’s such a timeless vocal and it always brings a special moment in the set.

What are the special ingredients in this mix?
A blend of classic house influences and newer records that I’ve been playing in my sets recently. I always like mixes to have groove, soul and a bit of surprise.

Tell us about your latest release
My latest release is Mystified, out on my label Tenn Tonik. It features Penny F and has that soulful house feel I love, something uplifting that works both in the club and when you’re just listening.

What’s coming up next — gigs and releases
Miami Music Week is coming up which I’m really excited about. I’ve also got a collaboration with Todd Terry and Eddie Craig coming out at the end of the month, plus more music planned on Tenn Tonik.

Any final words for the listeners
Hope you enjoy the mix and discover a few new records along the way. Big thanks to Data Transmission for having me.
